 Julias' Poetry from the Heart

Escaping

When I was a young girl
I used to close my eyes and dream,

I was locked in a castle
By a villain so cruel and mean,

There was no hope of rescue
To escape his evil plight,

So I would cry myself to sleep
Almost every night,

Sometimes I could hear
Your whispers in the dark,

Your soft words of comfort
Would ignite a hopeful spark,

There you stood before me
A noble knight so bold and strong,

You heard my lonely cries
You knew the time had come,

To take me away
To another place and time,

Where at last peace and happiness
Would soon be mine,
